Corteva Agriscience prepares for new herbicide launch in Brazil
Corteva Agriscience, the agriculture division of DowDuPont, are preparing to launch a new line of herbicides, XT Technology, which can eliminate up to 80% of weeds. Three products in this line – Dominon XT, Troeno XT and Planador XGT – should be available in Brazil by September 2018.

According to a report in AgroPages, Ludmila Soares, a sales representative at Corteva, said one of the biggest advantages was that different species of vegetation could be controlled with only one product, without mixture and compatibility problems in the field.

“The big difficulty of a located application is the people and labor. For instance, if I have a hard to control plant, I have to brush and immediately make an application, so that demands people, and high cost,” she said.

XT Technology is intended to combat even the most invasive plants, such as the orchid tree (Bauhinia variegata), the Brazilian peppertree (Schinus terebinthifolius) and even vine. The company’s goal is to promote better gain for the livestock grower by increasing productivity. The new XT products should help livestock farmers to achieve this.
