Piramal Pharma Solutions’ Pithampur, India Site Wins Annual Excellence in Patient Centricity Award for Linking Every Batch to Patient Impact

Piramal Pharma Solutions, a leading global Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) and part of Piramal Pharma Ltd., announced that the Patient Awareness Council (PAC) at its drug product manufacturing site in Pithampur, India has won this year’s Excellence in Patient Centricity Award.

The Pithampur PAC was honored for “Beyond the Batch: Connecting Our Work to Every Patient,” the project that led to the Integrated Patient Impact Dashboard. This dashboard consolidates supply, production, and customer insights into one streamlined digital platform, giving internal and external stakeholders visibility into how operational output affects patient lives. It turns once-fragmented data into a clear story of patient reach, customer value, business performance, and employee contribution.

The dashboard tracks production volumes, monthly supply trends, product-wise contribution, potential patient reach, and Patient Centricity initiatives all in one place, creating a direct line of sight from the site’s operational scale to its downstream patient impact. Today, it shows that Pithampur delivers an average monthly supply of 39.8 million units across 24 products, potentially touching 34.08 million lives.

“We are incredibly proud of the Pithampur PAC for creating the Integrated Patient Impact Dashboard, reminding us that we aren’t just delivering a batch or a product; we are delivering hope for patients,” said Stu Needleman, Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Patient Centricity Officer, Piramal Pharma Solutions. “This effort gives purpose to every batch and transforms Patient Centricity from a philosophical concept into a visible metric that the entire organization contributes to. It also shows how connecting our function with our purpose can lead to better quality, greater customer confidence, and stronger business outcomes.”

Every batch represents a chain of responsibility, running from manufacturing all the way to patient impact, and the dashboard helps employees see where their work fits in that journey. This visibility has shifted mindsets across Pithampur’s teams from “this is my task” to “this is my contribution to the patient,” strengthening ownership, accountability, quality, patient safety, and sense of purpose. The dashboard has also improved decision-making by making trends easier to understand and helping teams take data-informed action.

That shift is also visible to customers, who have praised the site’s diligence, responsiveness, and adaptability – strengths that keep critical project milestones on track and ensure treatments reach the patients who need them.
