Membership boom at society

The Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC), which serves the unique education and networking needs of cosmetic science professionals in North America, announced that its membership has exceeded 5,000 individuals for the first time since its founding in 1945.

“Now more than 5,000 members strong, SCC continues to significantly impact our industry,” said Peter Tsolis, 2017 president of SCC and executive director, Skincare R&D at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. “Our membership growth speaks to the value that they receive from their affiliation with and connections made through our organisation. We appreciate the continued support of our volunteers, sponsors, and industry partners in our efforts to deliver exceptional member value through our product and service offerings.”

“By focusing on delivering timely, relevant education and creating an unparalleled network of resources and peer connections, members recognize the value of what we have to offer,” said executive director Erica O’Grady, CAE.
